About Me
So – why should you listen to what I have to offer? Obviously you don’t have to – just click to another page. But if you decide to read on and even, maybe, come back then I’m glad that you found this site to be useful. I have been using the internet in the classroom clear back in 1994! I remember using Netscape’s Mosaic to “browse” the internet – such as it was at the time! LOL! Even back then though, I realized this was going to be an amazing tool for classrooms and we would be on the cutting edge of teaching students how to use this resource for their education. Since then much has come about – research tools, pictures of far away places, email with classmates on the other side of the world, spam, myspace, powerpoint, and so much, much more.
What I find really amazing about all of this is the fact that the state of West Virginia has been a leader in bringing technology into the classrooms. Every one of West Virginia’s public schools have internet access. Check out what the 2005 Technology Counts Report had to say about West Virginia schools.
Since I come from a family with several generations of teachers, I am very well aware that teachers work, live and teach on a shoe string budget. I will strive for my resources posted here to not only be of excellent quality, but to be extremely affordable (read: free) or low cost and well worth the investment.
Please feel free to give me your feedback and let me know what you’d like to see more of!
